Best time to visit:

Sikkim is the most popular destination in North-East India chosen by tourists for visiting and for adventure. The beautiful Himalayan range blooms fully in springtime. Therefore the preferable time to visit Sikkim is March to May. In this season, the temperature remains suitable. And you can visit most of the tourist places during the season.

Some people choose the winter season to visit Sikkim. In winters, the temperature drops, and hill areas cover with snow. Hence, many off-beat travel lovers choose winter to visit Sikkim. You can enjoy activities like snowboarding and skiing at that time.

One can visit Sikkim during Monsoon, but you can't enjoy adventure activities like river rafting or paragliding during the rainy season. However, lakes and waterfalls are in their full volume in this season with scenic beauty. From October to November, autumn months are as clear and suitable to visit as springtime.

Tour Program: 4 Days 3 Nights

Day 1: Airport/Railway Station to Sikkim

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or NJP and proceed towards Gangtok. On the journey, view the scenic beauty of Teesta River. Reaching the hotel, you can relax for a while. In the evening you can visit the popular M G Road or M G Marg and enjoy the taste of delicious cuisines.

Day 2: Gangtok Sightseeing

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and set out for Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower Show, Cottage Industry and handicraft center, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-Dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery, and Banjhakri falls.

Day3: Explore Tsomgmo Lake-Nathula Pass

Heading towards the scenic beauty of Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft) situated at a higher altitude. And it is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. Here you can view breathtaking scenes of colorful poppy flowers, Rhododendron, and several species of migratory birds. After that, you can visit the famous Baba Mandir. Later visit Nathula Pass (optional), a crossroad of the India-China border.

Day4: Gangtok to Airport/ Railway Station

Have breakfast, check out, and drop at NJP Railway station/ Bagdogra

For explorers, add days to travel and (Lachen+Lachung): Total 8 days 7 nights

Day1: Airport/Railway Station to Sikkim

After breakfast, start the journey towards Lachen (9,400 ft), a town in North Sikkim naturally decorated with colorful flowers and bounded by the snow-capped mountain. After that, visit Seven Sister Waterfalls on the way. Then, stay overnight at a hotel in Lachen.

Day5: Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake (66km)

After having breakfast set out for Gurudongmar Lake. It is one of the highest situated lakes in North Sikkim. Also, it is close to the Tibet border and snow-covered peaks encircle it all over the year. After visiting the place, travel back & stay overnight at Lachung.

Day6: Lachen to Lachung (46.6 km)

Get ready and set out for the renounced city of Lachung. Then stay overnight at a hotel in Lachung

Day7: Lachung to Yamtham Valley (25km approx.)

In the morning, proceed to visit Yamtham valley, also called the valley of flowers. On returning, visit the hot spring that is considered to have medicinal properties. Then return to Gangtok.

Day8: Have breakfast, check out, and drop at NJP Railway station/ Bagdogra

Or people who want to visit Pelling can choose the journey VIA Ravangla or Namchi.

If you choose to visit Pelling VIA Ravangla route, on the way you can stop by Buddha Park and witness the 130 ft. High Shakyamuni Buddha Statue.

Visit Pelling VIA Namchi route and witness the Namchi Chardham at the 108 ft. The High Statue of Lord Shiva is encircled and supported by a girdle of Chardham in India at four different places. In East as Jagannath, West as Dwarika, South as Rameshwaram, and North as Badrinath. Go towards Pelling and witness the beauty of the Kanchenjunga Ranges.

Day9: Pelling Sightseeing

After breakfast, get ready for a full day of sightseeing at Pelling. Visit Rimbi waterfall, Rimbi Rock Garden, and Khecheopalri Lake, one of the holiest lakes in Sikkim. Then view Khecheopalri monastery. With greenery, the monastery offers complete tranquillity. Also, go to see Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, etc. The ruins of Rabdentse offer an astonishing view of the mountain peaks.

Day10: Gangtok to Airport/ Railway Station

Have breakfast, check out, and drop at NJP Railway station/ Bagdogra
