Best time to visit:
Darjeeling is full of charm and scenic hill views in all seasons. So whenever you need a break from regular life, pack your bag and start the journey.
But most people prefer to visit Darjeeling between Aprils to June, which is considered the best time. This time the maximum temperature ranges between 20-25˚ Celsius.
However, many other people like to visit the beautiful town during the winter months October to December. If you are one of the people who love to enjoy chilly winters, you are welcome. This time the temperature ranges between 2-7˚ Celsius. Sometimes it falls to -2˚ Celsius.
During the monsoon time from July to September, heavy rainfall is observed in Darjeeling. Hence, you may face roadblocks this season. But if you want to watch the beauty of rain in mountains, you must plan a vacation at that time.
Tour Program: 5 Days 4 Nights
Day1: Sightseeing in Darjeeling
Visit the scenic mall road (Bhanu Sarani), go to the famous Mahakal Temple, and from the top view sunset. Later in the day, you can visit old heritage shops like Habib Mullick, Jolly Arts, and other places.
Day 2: Explore Tiger Hill-Darjeeling Himalayan Railway-Monastery-Happy Valley Tea Estate
Wake up early in the morning & set out for a 3-Point tour. It will cover the famous sunrise from Tiger Hill; Old Ghoom Monastery & Batasia Loop to take a ride on Darjeeling Himalayan Railway or toy train takes a dramatic loop, and negotiates an altitude of 140ft. Later take the 7-point local tour including Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Ropeway, Tibetan Self Help Refugee Center, Lebong Race Course, Happy Valley Tea Estate, etc.
Day3: Darjeeling to Mirik
After breakfast set out for a Day trip to Mirik. On the way visit Jorpokhri, enjoy the scenes of Mirik Lake, and do some local sightseeing. Visit the renowned Pashupati Market while returning back.
Day4: Darjeeling to Kalimpong
It is a day trip to Kalimpong (It takes about 2.5 hours one way, so start early). Here you visit Deolo Hill, Mangal Dham, Durpin Monastery, Pine View Nursery, Scenic army golf course and etc.
Day 05: Chitwan National Park
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drop at NJP railway station / Bagdogra airport.
